Updated!

So it's been a while. A long, long while.
Let's be honest, I just suck at updating! Summer is in full swing. Already, you say?! Yes! Where did the school year go?! Last Wednesday was Gracie's last day as a 'baby'. She's officially a kindergartner.
Tomorrow Gracie starts swim lessons. She's very excited. Her bestest friend and cousin is also in the class. Poor instructor. Hope he/she gets paid REEEEEEALLY well. Those two together are hell on wheels. However, it's so essential for her safety. With what happened to my friend Gina and her beautiful Madison(www.princessmadison.org), it is constantly on my mind around water and I would be sticking my head in the sand if I didn't teach her and allow her to be as safe as I can without physicially attaching her to me.
Rosie is huge. She weighs >drumroll< 35.7 lbs.!!!! Five of those pounds were gained in the last 2 weeks. We are so screwed! Sometimes I think Jason is giving her 'roids when I'm not looking! Soon everyone in this house will be taller than I am.
As for me, I'm good. I'm working now...and actually really enjoying it. Well, everything but getting up at the butt crack of dawn! My job is so flexible...which I love. Being a mom is still number one to me. I won't sacrifice that...and my boss is insanely understanding. So this summer I'll be doing a lot from home but Gracie will be going into the office with me some, too.

My hydrangeas are blooming...and hell, they are still alive! Ha, take that people who say I have a black thumb. I also planted blueberry bushes. Anyone priced organic blueberries lately?! Crazy. My kid eats a pint in a sitting....so I went hippy and am growing them myself. I pray that Jason controls his mower and doesn't throw it in high gear and mow them down. (You should see our bushes in the front yard...SOMEONE went a little Friday the 13th on them...poor bushes!) Oh and a note for all those out there who plant veggies..pumpkin plants take over. Grace planted a SEED, one freaking SEED, in a Dixie cup last NOVEMBER. Being the ever supportive mother I am...we 'replanted' it next to the garage. It died, just like I figured it would. I mean, if I thought for a minute it wouldn't, why would I plant it NEXT TO MY GARAGE?! So I told Gracie it was okay! Sometimes plants die in the winter...but we would get a 'new' plant next year. Yeah...so, so, so very wrong. That SOB is taking OVER. It came back and is going to take over my garage soon. Wonderful. So when I sell pumpkins around October, all y'all will understand why.

And here are some new pics...

Rosie belle...

On the kitchen rug. She lays there and sneakily tries to trip me, so I fall and break my neck so she can then eat what I drop all over the floor as I'm going down...
But she's a cute little assassin.

Pretty flowers....
Coffee really does make them turn blue...
or purple...

We went strawberry picking a few weeks ago. She ate more than she picked and put into the basket. Stinker.
Here's Miss Thinks She's Mary Poppins!
